Plant Starts will be available for sale at the Farm on May 13 from 11am - 3pm.
Kick off your Mother’s Day weekend with our 4th Annual Plant Start Sale! We’ll be selling around 30 varieties of live plants, including vegetables, herbs, and flowers to help transform your garden into an edible jungle. These are tried and true varieties, grown tenderly in organic Vermont Compost potting soil, giving them an exceptional head start for a happy and healthy life! Below, you’ll find all the information about our 2023 Plant Start Program including general instructions, plant varieties, and transplanting tips for each type of plant.

General Transplanting Instructions:
Prepare a weed-free planting bed
Dig a hole large enough to accommodate the seedling root system and any additional compost material
Carefully remove seedling from container
Set seedling in hole so that the surface of the seedling soil is level with the ground surface
Smooth out displaced soil
Water the seedling in, so that the roots are the same moisture level as the surrounding soil
Sing lullabies to them every night before they go to bed
